A four-digit LED display with two push-buttons enables the Smart-Encoder to change its resolution (pulses per revolution) and set a password to protect unauthorized changes.

The Smart-Encoder is a direct replacement for most of the encoder models on the market. The mechanical and electrical specs have been improved to enhance performance.

The Smart- Encoder can be configured for anywhere from 2 to 4,096 counts per revolution and encoding formats such as Binary, BCD, Grey Code...
