Wintriss Programmable Cam/Limit Switch Alternatives from Autotech
Evaluating a Wintriss ProCam 1500 alternative or a ProCamPAC programmable limit switch alternative? Compare the timing functions used by your machine with a selected Autotech PLS configuration. The M1050 Series provides resolver-based programmable limit switching with speed compensation and stored programs. [1]
The Wintriss specifications cited here describe the referenced ProCamPAC page. Confirm the exact ProCam 1500 or ProCamPAC version installed before applying them.

What to evaluate with Autotech
Compare programmable cam functions individually
| Timing requirement | Wintriss ProCamPAC reference | Autotech PLS selection |
|---|---|---|
| Speed-dependent timing | ProCamPAC lists auto-advance timing as press speed changes. [2] | Compare the selected M1050 Series speed-compensation settings. [1] |
| Multiple events per output | The referenced ProCamPAC page describes up to four ON/OFF events per stroke. [2] | Check required setpoint pairs and their allocation in the selected Autotech model. |
| Timed outputs | ProCamPAC describes outputs using an ON angle and time-based dwell. [2] | Verify the exact output mode needed; position-based switching alone does not establish timed-output equivalence. |
| Tool/program storage | ProCamPAC settings are stored with SmartPAC tool numbers. [2] | Review Autotech program capacity and selection method against the job-changeover process. |
| Integrated operation | Review global cams, DSV-related outputs and connected equipment. [2] | Document each used function and confirm the intended replacement architecture. |
Build a channel-by-channel timing schedule
For each output, record its equipment load, switching voltage, ON condition and OFF condition. Identify whether the OFF condition is an angle, an elapsed time or another machine signal. Include multiple events per cycle and any speed-dependent adjustment. This schedule is more useful for selection than a channel count alone because it captures the behavior the replacement must reproduce.

Is a programmable cam switch the same as a PLS?
These names can describe the same category of position-based switching, but individual products have different output modes, capacities and interfaces. Compare the specific functions in use.
Can I replace a ProCamPAC module inside SmartPAC with Autotech hardware?
This guide does not establish SmartPAC module or backplane compatibility. Evaluate Autotech as a separate controls solution with its own integration requirements.
Can I reuse the existing timing settings?
Use the existing settings as engineering input. Check scaling, output behavior and speed-dependent adjustments before configuring and commissioning the selected hardware.
