The RL500 Hollow Shaft Resolver is intended for those applications where there is a projecting 5/8" (15.88 mm) diameter shaft (machine shaft, double-ended motor shaft, etc) available at the point where the user wishes to take rotational readings. Instead of having to make provisions to install a traditional resolver, which has to be installed with a bracket and coupled to a shaft on the machine, as long as there is a 3" (76.2 mm) shaft projection, the RL500 can be mounted directly to the machine.
RL501 Pancake Resolver
The RL501 Pancake Resolver is intended for those applications where there is a project-ing 1/2” (12.7 mm) diameter shaft (machine shaft, double-ended motor shaft, etc.) available at the point where the user wishes to take rotational readings. Only 1” (25.4 mm) thick, the RL501 can be installed in applica-tions where space is very constricted. In-stead of having to make provisions to install a traditional resolver which has to couple to a shaft on the machine, as long as there is a 1” (25.4 mm) shaft projection, the RL501 can be mounted directly to the machine.
